Recap - Lesson #7 - Beginner's Rumba

We did a complete review of steps taught in the previous week - forward crossovers, and the 5th position breaks (back rocks).

New step: Outside Crossovers >> Man does a box step, but turns 1/4 turn to his L on the back 1/2 of the box. Then he steps side on L foot, and a forward rock step "outside" of the lady. Side step to his R, and a forward rock "outside" of the lady; and one more side step & rock step to the other side. He will then step 'back' into a back 1/2 of a box step that is turning 1/4 turn to his L. So by the end of this pattern, the couple will have turned a full 1/2 turn. The lady's part is all the exact opposite.

Lesson # 8 will be on the Rumba (review only) for the 1st 1/2 hour, and then we begin learning the fabulous Tango dance.

On the last week of dance lessons We have a "wrap up party". Dance classes are not open to the public – members or guests only.

All students bring a food item – ie: appetizers, quartered sandwiches, veggies, or whatever. All foods are placed on tables at the front, and everyone helps themselves buffet style at intermission.

Students can bring their own water, pop, or juice.
