Lesson #2 Recap for Intermediate:

1) The - first pattern - the hitchkick to the (baseball)pass & 2-hand U/A turn to Lady's twist - is posted on Lesson #1 recap

2) Toe-Toe swivels - Man - toe L toe into instep of R foot, then point toe out, then xss L over R on a "step". Repeat w/R foot (and toe); then w/L; then w/R. Note: when doing the toe points, you do not actually put any weight onto that foot. The timing is QQS, QQS, QQS, QQS. Very important that you do not just step 'xssing over yourself' - you need to swivel your feet, and turn the entire lower body (hips and knees) about 180 degrees with each point & step. This pattern is mostly about the turning in the body. Finish w/a rock step. Should use a bracing action with the hands and arms, about chest height. Partners can feel the swiveling & turning action of the other partner when this bracing action is done properly. Good idea to keep steps compact - remember, it's about the 'turning'.

On the last week of dance lessons We have a "wrap up party". Dance classes are not open to the public – members or guests only.

All students bring a food item – ie: appetizers, quartered sandwiches, veggies, or whatever. All foods are placed on tables at the front, and everyone helps themselves buffet style at intermission.

Students can bring their own water, pop, or juice.
