Recap for 4th Lesson: Intermediate

Firstly, we reviewed & worked more on last week's pattern in the Cha Cha - the X-Body lead to hitch-kicks to (1) forward xss-over, and then both turn around.

Then we started on a new pattern that had X-Body leads as well. That pattern is called Shadow Crossovers. With a 'handshake hold', the man leads his partner thru a X-Body lead, a cha-cha-cha, and then to a Forward Crossover > but still w/a handshake hold. He "shadows" her by holding his L hand out & behind her upper back (not actually touching her).

He then leads her into another X-Body lead (other direction) & a 'shadow' Forward Crossover.

Then (staying square to each other), he leads her to a cha-cha-cha, an Underarm Turn (still w/his R hand) as he does a back rock. Then cha-cha-cha to the side (facing each other), he does a forward 1/2 basic whilst looping his R hand over his own head.

Voila - 8 measures!!

On the last week of dance lessons We have a "wrap up party". Dance classes are not open to the public – members or guests only.

All students bring a food item – ie: appetizers, quartered sandwiches, veggies, or whatever. All foods are placed on tables at the front, and everyone helps themselves buffet style at intermission.

Students can bring their own water, pop, or juice.
