Wow! Busy lesson - no new steps, but lots of work on those that we'd already been learning. And that's the way that it should've been!
I noticed a huge difference in all of you at the end of the hour. Your partnership skills improved so much in that one hour. Guys - you were leading, guiding, and protecting your partners on every move. And girls - you were very actively following your guys like never before.
And that was exactly what the hour was all about - "communication between leader & follower". I guess that's the greatest way to honor and celebrate Valentine's Day!!
On the last week of dance lessons We have a "wrap up party". Dance classes are not open to the public – members or guests only.
All students bring a food item – ie: appetizers, quartered sandwiches, veggies, or whatever. All foods are placed on tables at the front, and everyone helps themselves buffet style at intermission.
Students can bring their own water, pop, or juice.
